DKPP Agrimarket Party, a Symbol of Food Security and Economic Recovery in the City of Bandung
There is an exciting event at the Bandung City Food and Agriculture Security Office (DKPP), Thursday 29 September 2022. Titled the Best Fresh Healthy Market Champion (Party) of DKPP Agrimarket, there are a variety of processed agricultural, fishery, and livestock products that are available at friendly prices.
As many as 75 tenants sell processed products, be it agriculture, fisheries, or livestock.
Based on the observation of Bandung City Public Relations, the price of commodities sold at the DKPP Agrimarket Party is 20-30 percent cheaper than the market price.
Assistant for the Economy and Development of the Bandung City Secretariat, Eric M. Attauriq, said that this event was one of the series of the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung and also in the context of economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
“In recent weeks, the Covid-19 pandemic situation in Bandung City has decreased. It means, in times like today, we can start to rise together,” said Eric.
The DKPP Agrimarket party showcased products from the Buruan Sae group in Bandung.
Eric said this proves that Buruan Sae is a mainstay of innovation that can improve food security as well as the economy in the city of Bandung.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City DKPP, Gin Gin Ginanjar, said that the enthusiasm for farming in the city of Bandung has shown an extraordinary increase, even though the availability of land in the city of Bandung is relatively minimal.
According to him, the Buruan Sae program was one of the triggers. He also said that this agrimarket exhibition was a forum for Buruan Sae activists.
"The spirit of farming is great, and I think there is a need for this kind of container for the activists," said Gin Gin.
He also invited the people of Bandung to jointly strengthen food security by running the Buruan Sae program in their respective homes.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Bandung City PKK TP, Yunimar Mulyana, assessed that the DKPP Agrimarket Party was an event that was highly awaited, especially by mothers.
"The price of commodities that are sold relatively cheaply is one of the indicators," he said.
In addition, he also appreciated the Buruan Sae program which is now being echoed by the Bandung City Government.
“Since the existence of Buruan Sae, the PKK Mobilization Team has felt the benefits. We can provide the results of Hurry Sae for stunting sufferers," said Yunimar.
He supports the Buruan Sae movement as a food security effort that can be integrated with efforts to reduce stunting rates in the city of Bandung.
