"Today exactly 77 years ago is a symbol of the great sacrifice of the people of the city of Bandung, who at that time decided to let their property be burned to the ground as a tactic so that colonialists could not take advantage of those who set foot again in the city of Bandung," said Yana.

"Implement the Bandung Lautan Api event in everyday life by willingly sacrificing common interests," he advised.

According to him, one spirit of Bandung Sea of Fire that is still burning includes the success of all levels in the city of Bandung in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020.

"The task of our predecessors was to win independence, our task as the next generation is to build this city even better," said Yana.

He also hopes that the momentum of commemorating Bandung Sea of Fire which falls in the month of Ramadan will be a reflection for everyone to always spread goodness.

"And the BLA moment that falls in the month of Ramadan is also expected to be a reminder that we always do good deeds, get closer to Allah SWT, and also do good to others," Yana appealed.
