Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health reports an increasing trend in Covid-19 cases, following Singapore and Malaysia. In the period 28 November to 2 December, 267 cases were identified as positive for Covid-19.

Regarding this, the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna, appealed to the public not to worry but to remain alert.

He also appealed to the public to maintain their health and return to wearing masks and washing their hands to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

"We have been informed that the pandemic is increasing again in several countries. I urge you that if you feel unfit, masks are an obligation. In fact, to anticipate, let's make it a habit to wear masks, especially in crowds," said Ema at Bandung City Hall, Wednesday 6 December 2023.

"We studied for quite a long time, 2-3 years, this is just awareness of how we take care of ourselves and our environment. If we are sick, we will keep our distance again," he added.

Currently, the city of Bandung has entered the rainy season, for this reason Ema also appealed to the public to maintain their health by exercising and eating nutritious food.

"In addition, the weather has entered the rainy season. He asked people to maintain their health by eating nutritious food and exercising," he said.

Ema hopes that Covid-19 will not increase in Indonesia, especially in the city of Bandung.

"Hopefully there will not be (an increase in Covid-19 cases) even though there is already a warning from the Ministry of Health," he said.

Furthermore, if you feel any symptoms of Covid-19, you can immediately go to the nearest health facility. (rob)**
