Head of the Bandung City Health Service, Anhar Hadian, said that in line with the increase in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, all health service facilities (fasyankes), from clinics, health centers, health laboratories, to regional hospitals, including health workers, are on standby and ready. .

One of them is by carrying out complete vaccination of health workers. He said that currently the Health Office had received 290 vials of vaccine for 1,450 people from the West Java Provincial Health Office.

"In accordance with the Ministry of Health's direction, we are prioritizing health workers whose vaccinations have not been completed, not yet 4 times, this week we will comb them," said Anhar at Bandung City Hall, Monday 18 December 2023.

"We will send it to all health facilities, we are worried that there are health workers who have not been fully vaccinated, hopefully it will be enough," he added.

The plan is that the Health Office will re-submit additional vaccines to the Ministry of Health. Apart from health workers, said Anhar, other priorities are the elderly and those with comorbidities.

"After that, the community is not yet complete, so there are stages. We plan to apply again. We want 1000 vaccines, because it seems that many people have asked us," he said.

Apart from the preparedness and protection of health workers, there are vaccination services. The Health Department has also appealed to hospitals to provide 10 percent of the space for exposed patients.

"If the examination is already underway, our laboratory is ready to accept it. The tracing service is also running. Although actually there has been no technical direction from the Ministry of Health, so it seems they will utilize the isolation rooms that already exist in each home," he said.

Anhar also appealed to the public not to panic, but to continue implementing health protocols, especially those traveling.

Meanwhile, in Bandung City, Anhar continued, data as of December 18 2023 had 51 active confirmed cases. He said that most of them were asymptomatic so they carried out according to the direction of the Ministry of Health to carry out isolation in their respective homes.

Meanwhile there are 13 people being treated, with details of one person having severe symptoms, 8 people having moderate symptoms, the remaining 4 people having mild symptoms.

He appealed to people who are sick to wear masks and stop outdoor activities and maintain their body condition by implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS).

"Stay alert, if not necessary, avoid crowds according to directions from the leadership to avoid unnecessary crowds, but don't panic too much," he said. (rob)**
