All Forkopimda are Ready to Keep Nataru in Bandung City Conducive

According to the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, even though there is now an increase in the number of Covid-19 in Bandung City, the Nataru celebration will continue to be monitored so that it continues solemnly.

"We urge people to maintain their health, if someone is sick, please wear a mask. Reduce crowds too, even though we know Bandung is a tourist destination, crowds will definitely occur. This doesn't mean there is a ban, but only reducing it to prevent the spread of Covid-19," " explained Bambang, Wednesday 20 December 2023.

He added that until now his party continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Health regarding the implementation of Nataru.

"Regions cannot yet make their own policies. So, we can only urge the public to re-enforce health protocols. This new variant of the Covid-19 virus is not very dangerous. But we need to be careful for the elderly and comorbids," he continued.

Meanwhile, Bandung Police Chief, Police Commissioner Budi Sartono, explained that in securing Nataru through Operation Candle, his party had placed its troops at several locations.

"There are 151 churches in the city of Bandung. We have assigned our members, 15 pospam and 15 integrated service posts to provide security for Christmas and New Year's Eve," explained Budi.

He added that security for New Year's Eve will focus on crowded places in Bandung City. Because the city of Bandung is a tourist destination. Currently, many hotels and tourist attractions are full.

"Let's provide a sense of security to guests who come to the city of Bandung. We also continue to coordinate with other stakeholders to maintain the conduciveness of Nataru until the democratic party in February," he said.

Then, at this Forkopimda celebration, the Head of the Bandung City National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Bambang Sukardi said, apart from Nataru, coordination with all Forkopimda was also carried out to maintain the conduciveness of the 2024 election.

"A total of 250 participants attended today's occasion. Together we will increase tolerance and security stability in the city of Bandung, improve the handling of social conflicts, and coordinate the implementation of tasks between government agencies," said Bambang.

Responding to this, Dandim 0618/BS Bandung City, Colonel Inf Donny I. Bainuri admitted that he would continue to work together and assist the Bandung City Government in creating a conducive Bandung City.

"We also play a role in helping the Bandung City Government in terms of handling waste, stunting, poverty, controlling street vendors, and generally maintaining conduciveness," said Donny.

He added, in accordance with the theme of this year's Forkopimda Gebyar, namely Superior, Orderly, Safe and Polite Bandung, according to Donny, conduciveness will be possible if all parties start politely.
