Ema Sumarna Resigns, Public Services Run Normally
Head of the Bandung City Communications and Information Service, Yayan A. Brilyana, admitted that Ema Sumarna had resigned as Regional Secretary for Bandung City on Wednesday 13 March 2024.
Regarding the resignation, Yayan revealed that the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, had directed the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Adi Junjunan Mustafa, to immediately process it according to procedures.
"Pak Ema has indeed resigned since last Wednesday. The Acting Mayor also knows about it," said Yayan.
Nevertheless, Yayan ensured that, according to the instructions of the Acting Mayor of Bandung, all public services in the City of Bandung must continue to run. Including a number of preparations ahead of the homecoming season and Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.
"Government administration continues. In particular, public services must not be disrupted. Moreover, the service system in the Bandung City Government is running well," said Yayan.
Yayan explained, with Ema's resignation, currently a number of jobs are being coordinated with regional assistants. So that all work can still be completed according to plan.
Apart from that, Yayan emphasized that the City Government is focusing on ensuring the availability of stocks of basic necessities is maintained and safe during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"The availability of these basic necessities must remain maintained. The flow of goods and distribution of goods must be maximized," he said.**
