"Currently the city of Bandung has a dengue fever outbreak which is still quite high, I urge us to care more about the environment together. The government cannot do it alone," said Bambang while attending the Ramadan Safari at the Al Ikhlas Mosque, Jatisari Village, Buahbatu District, Wednesday 3 April 2024 .

He reminded the people of Bandung City to always ensure that their places of residence and activities are free from mosquito larvae.

Apart from that, he also advised that if a family member at home has a fever, immediately access the nearest health facility.

"People should not hesitate to take their family members who experience symptoms of dengue fever to the community health center or health service facilities," he said.

He has also ordered the Health and Regional Services to always be ready to handle cases of dengue fever in their area.

Previously, the Bandung City Government had also made a number of efforts to handle dengue cases. Among other things, by carrying out PSN simultaneously in 151 sub-districts starting Saturday 29 March 2024 and forming the one house one jumantik movement.

He also ensured the readiness of 80 community health centers spread across 30 sub-districts in the city of Bandung to handle the initial cases of dengue fever in the community.

"Hopefully our efforts can further mitigate and minimize existing risks," he said. (rob)**
