Sympathetic Appeals were carried out at Leuwipanjang Terminal, Kiaracondong Station and Cicaheum Terminal.

This activity is in collaboration with the Bandung City Transportation Service, Bandung City Satpol PP, and regional officials.

This sympathetic appeal is in the context of implementing the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 74 of 2022 concerning Registration of Non-Permanent Residents, as well as registering data on non-permanent residents in the City of Bandung after Idul Fitri 1445 H.

"The aim of this activity is to collect data on migrant residents who will stay temporarily or not permanently in Bandung City. This includes complete identity documents for migrant residents and the purpose of their arrival in Bandung City," said Head of the Bandung City Population and Civil Registration Office, Tatang Muchtar, Monday 15 April 2024.

He explained, with the increasing mobility of non-permanent residents, an overview of conditions and developments is needed as well as the availability of data on non-permanent residents in Bandung City.

"This activity is also an effort to increase the scope of registration of non-permanent residents. From several previous Simpatik Appeal activities, it can be concluded that most of the purposes of the arrival of migrant residents to Bandung City after Idul Fitri include work and education," he said.

In this Sympathetic Appeal activity, continued Tatang, residents who have ID cards outside Bandung City (non-permanent) simply show their e-KTP to the officer and fill in the form provided along with their email address.

"We also urge migrant residents who will stay and will not be processing their move from their original domicile to Bandung City, to register as non-permanent residents. This can be done via the Salaman application (Done in the Hand) or via the following page address https://nonpermanent residents .kemendagri.go.id," said Tatang.

He hopes that, with this data collection, the number of migrant communities in each sub-district in Bandung City can be known.

"This data will then become the basis for consideration of plans and policies related to planning city facilities that must be provided by the Bandung City Government, such as clean water facilities, provision of TPS, and so on," he said.

In addition to collecting data on migrant residents, the Bandung City Population and Civil Registration Office also provides outreach on the importance of population documents and provides Digital Population Identity (IKD) services via Mepeling cars for residents who do not yet have one.

"We provide Mepeling cars to provide services to the community as well as outreach," he said. (yan)**
