Transportation Department said the flow of vehicles in the city of Bandung during Eid was running smoothly
The Bandung City Transportation Department ensures that the return flow during Eid runs smoothly. Traffic density is only monitored in a number of tourist destinations in the city of Bandung.
"There are no significant traffic jams in Bandung City," said Plt. Head of Bandung City Transportation Agency, Asep Kuswara at Bandung City Hall, Friday 19 April 2024.
During the Eid period, his party deployed 706 members divided into 10 security posts (Pospam).
He said that even though there was traffic jam during Eid yesterday, the city of Bandung was only a track area. So tourists who will visit several places outside the city of Bandung will be crowded with many vehicles passing by.
"In the city of Bandung there are 38 congestion points. Because the city of Bandung is just a route. So there are no vehicles entering the city of Bandung, except for Bandung people who are leaving the city," he said.
"The only problem is that domestic tourists go to Bandung City and we only have a few tourist attractions, namely Kiara Artha Park, Zoo and Karang Setra," he said.
Congestion also occurs on the roads towards Lembang, West Bandung Regency and its surroundings.
"In the direction of Sukajadi - Lembang, Ledeng area, there were traffic jams, as well as to the Dago area which incidentally was just to cut the road so we could get to Lembang," he said.
"Domestic tourists sleep in the city of Bandung, they culinary here, that means restaurant taxes and hotel taxes go to the city of Bandung," he added. (yan)**
