"The role of women is very large and heavy in life, both in education, social, economic and public domains," said Linda, at the peak event of Kartini Day commemoration at Bandung City level at the Horison Ultima Hotel Bandung, Jalan Siswa Pejuang, Thursday, April 25 2024 .

According to him, Raden Ajeng Kartini's struggle has not been completely successful and must continue. The reason is, there are still many women who need our help.

"Hopefully not only on Kartini Day, but every day we can appreciate the struggle and role of women in the city of Bandung," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Bandung City Government and Social Welfare Assistant, Asep Sauful Gufron, emphasized the importance of gender equality in city development. He also expressed his appreciation to all women who have and continue to support women's rights.

"The commemoration of Kartini Day in Bandung City this year can bring inspiration and enthusiasm for women to actively contribute to community development and increase awareness of the importance of gender equality," he hoped.

This year's Kartini Day in Bandung City is celebrated with a series of various activities, aimed at honoring and reminding Raden Ajeng Kartini's role in fighting for educational rights and gender equality for women.

The peak of the Kartini Day commemoration event was marked by various activities, including discussions on the role of women in community development, charity events for children with disabilities and educational outreach to form quality children.

Apart from that, coordination was also carried out between family learning centers on problematic issues in the city of Bandung as well as self-care talk shows for women.

Apart from charity activities, the event was also marked by the signing of a collaboration between the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DP3A) and the Bandung City Religious Court, which aims to strengthen the protection of women's rights, including the elimination of all forms of discrimination and early marriage.

At the peak of the event, the Bandung City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Commission (KPKB) handed over basic food aid to the Mambaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School as well as business capital assistance from the Bandung City National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) to help women start their businesses.
