The City of Bandung is Optimistic to Win West Java Provincial MTQ Champion 10 Times in a Row

The performance of the Bandung City caravans when taking part in the Muhasabah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) exhibition is believed to be at the level of West Java and its achievements are no longer in doubt.

History records that the city of Bandung has scored 9 overall champions in a row since the 29th MTQ, at this prestigious event at the West Java Province level.

Currently, the City of Bandung is again preparing to face the 38th MTQ at the West Java Province level in Bekasi Regency on April 27 - May 5 2024.

"I am confident, because this caravan has been better prepared from the start. Selection has been carried out strictly from the sub-district level. Serious and programmed coaching has been provided, all that remains is to apply the right strategy in holding the championship. God willing, the process and efforts will not betray results," said Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono.

Bambang revealed this when releasing the Bandung City Caravan following the 38th MTQ Competition at West Java Province Level, at the Bandung City Hall Plaza, Friday 26 April 2024.

"The Bandung City MTQ Caravan will be able to maintain the title of overall champion again," he said.

He revealed that coaching and training must continue to be carried out to maintain quality and stay focused during competitions.

"Guardians, trainers and officials must take care of the caravan's needs so they can focus on the competition," he said.

Bambang also ordered the head of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) to accompany the caravan during the viewing later.

"I ordered the head of the OPD to provide the best encouragement for the Bandung City caravan," he said.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Bandung City LPTQ, Asep Saeful Gufron, said that in general the Bandung City caravan is ready to take part in the 38th MTQ at the West Java Province level in Bekasi Regency on April 27 - May 5 2024.

"Ahead of the match, coaching is carried out in three stages which are projected to strengthen technical and strategic preparations. As well as mapping the potential and opportunities for achievements that will be obtained and maintained," he said.

To support the successful achievement of the 38th MTQ, Asep admitted that he had worked on the caravan's facilities and infrastructure, ranging from cottage needs to health.

"There is a caravan medical service, we coordinate with the Bandung City Health Service. We provide an ambulance unit that is on standby during the implementation of the 38th MTQ, complete with medical personnel and the necessary medicines," he said.

Apart from that, OPD leaders will also visit to provide encouragement and support to the caravan.

"At the Mayor's direction, we have scheduled all OPDs within the Bandung City Government to make visits to caravan accommodation during the 38th MTQ activity period. This visit is intended to provide motivation to all components of the caravan," he explained.

At MTQ 2024, continued Asep, the Bandung City caravan will be strengthened by 54 people who are the best participants in the 48th MTQ at the Bandung City level in 2024.

"Competition will be even tighter. Prepare yourself more seriously because other caravans may already know our caravan's shortcomings so they will prepare themselves more seriously," he stressed.
