CANDIDATE SELECTION OF EMBEDDED STAFF BLOOMBERG INITIATIVE FOR

GLOBAL ROAD SAFETY IN BANDUNG 2015

 

Description:

As part of the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety, Bloomberg Philanthropies will support the salaries of 3 (three) “embedded” staff within the offices of the Government of Bandung City. The purpose of these positions is to assist the Government of Bandung City in implementing the work plans of road safety and to provide a link between the city and the relevant International organizations providing technical assistance. Union North America (UNA) will work with each city government to recruit, hire, and assist the host government to oversee the work of these “embedded” staff.

Government of Bandung City supported by the Union North America (UNA) opens the opportunity for professionals to become Embedded Staff Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety in Bandung in 2015, with the following conditions:

1. TERMS OF REGISTRATION

 

1. “Road Safety Initiative Coordinator”

Placed in the Local Development and Planning Board (Bappeda) Bandung City Government: for Road Safety Management (Management of traffic safety)

1. Indonesian citizen and preferably domiciled in Bandung;

2. Physically and mentally;

3. Academic qualifications – at least Master’s level of Civil Engineering Transportation, at least 5 years experiences in project management with significant responsibility

4. Government experience preferred

5. Familiarity with urban transportation/infrastructure or law enforcement/road policing

6. Familiarity with interpreting quantitative data analysis

7. English language proficiency required

8. Applicants no status of Civil Servants or State Civil Apparatus;

9. Applicants are not going through the legal process;

 

1. “Road Safety Coordinator for Road Design and Transportation”

 

Placed in Department of Transportation Bandung City Government: for Saver Road (Road Safety) and Saver Vehicle (Vehicle Safety) authority over transportation, road works, and/or urban design policy and projects.

 

1. Indonesian citizen and preferably domiciled in Bandung;

2. Physically and mentally;

3. Academic qualifications – at least Master’s levelof Civil Engineering Transportation, at least 3 years experiences in urban transport policy, engineering, planning, road design, or related sector

4. Local Government experience and familiarity with budgetary process preferred

5. Quantitative data analysis skills preferred

6. Understanding of traffic safety in cities, particularly for pedestrians and vulnerable users, and knowledge of mass transport systems.

7. English language proficiency required

8. Applicants not the status of the Civil Service or Civil State Apparatus

9. Applicants are not going through the legal process;

 

1. C. “Road Safety Coordinator for Road Policing”

 

Placed in Indonesian National Police Office of West Java, Bandung Resort Large City: for People and Post Crash Saver (Handling Post-Accident) with authority over traffic-related law road policing activities

 

1. Indonesian citizen and preferably domiciled in Bandung;

2. Physically and mentally;

3. Academic qualifications - at least Master’s level of Law, at least 3 years experiences in road traffic policy, traffic policing, or related enforcement agencies

4. Government experience preferred

5. English language proficiency desirable but not required

6. Applicants no status of Civil Servants or State Civil Apparatus

7. Applicants are not going through the legal process;

6. Health Certificate from a doctor.

7. Photocopy of Identity Card [ID] is still valid.
