The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) won 3 Awards in the 2021 West Java Innovation Competition (KIJB) through the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) with Bi Eha and Mang Udin won the TOP 10 Innovations Public service.

Then the Health Service with Layad Rawat won the TOP 45 Public Service Innovation, and the TOP 6 Abdibaktitani Award through the Food and Agriculture Security Service (DKPP). The award was immediately given by the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum at the 2021 KIJB Innovation Award event at the Harris Hotel and Convention, Bandung City, Tuesday 7 December 2021.

In his remarks, the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum said, with the innovations of the regents and mayors, they showed their existence, greatness, and concern for the community.

"This proves we pay attention to them. Things that change for the better is a necessity," he said.

Therefore, this innovation is aimed at efficiency, improving quality, effectiveness so that it is cheap and easy, also appropriate with the current situation and conditions.

"Then it is appropriate that according to religion, also the public interest, not for individuals and groups, can also be accounted for," said Uu.

According to him, the innovation criteria are the basis for the West Java Provincial Government to carry out these activities which aim to encourage regional heads in a better direction.

"That is, changing one activity to another for the better, so today's award is hopefully an innovator to innovate. This includes digitalization, which is difficult for us to stem the technological leaps and bounds," he added.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, was grateful for the three awards for the innovations carried out by the DKPP, the Health Service, and the Disdukcapil.

"Alhamdulillah, hopefully our efforts in the midst of this pandemic are how the service process to the community is reduced between service providers and service recipients," he said.

According to him, getting an award is not a goal, but being given an award shows what has been done is correct and is appreciated by other parties, in this case the West Java Provincial Government.

"Hopefully this will continue to motivate friends from regional and regional offices to continue to innovate to produce programs. Including other applications so that they become triggers for others," Yana hoped. (agg)**
