On his first day as Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana immediately stepped on the gas and coordinated all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). He wants to ensure that bureaucratic services continue to run and all political promises that are still pending can be fulfilled.

Yana said that in the remaining 21 months of his leadership term, he would complete the political promises he aspired to with Oded M. Danial. Although still shrouded in an atmosphere of mourning, Yana also reminded that public services must continue to run excellently. Instead, it must be getting better so that the foundations built by the late Oded during his tenure can be more beneficial for the community.

"Alhamdulillah, on the first day we carried out internal consolidation. Let's together realize the dreams of the deceased that have not been realized," Yana said after a hybrid coordination meeting from Bandung City Hall, Monday, December 13, 2021.

The coordination meeting was also attended by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil. For Yana, the governor's presence is an additional source of energy to continue Oded's unfinished dream.

"It turns out that the Governor, in the midst of his busy schedule, took the time to stay in touch with all of us and convey his condolences. Including giving directions, especially encouragement for all of us to fulfill the promises of the deceased (Oded) in the remaining 21 months," he explained.

Equally important, continued Yana, access assistance and budgetary support is very much needed for the City of Bandung, which is still under budget constraints. Considering the Regional Original Income (PAD) which has not returned to normal due to being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"God willing, the Governor opens opportunities, because our APBD is limited. He is very open to access, be it governor assistance or opening access to higher levels in the ministry," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, said that his arrival was to share his enthusiasm and convey his deep sorrow. Remembering, the late Oded was his former duet when he led the Bandung City for the 2013-2018 period.

"Mang Oded was with me for 6 years, a year of struggle together and 5 years when he was mayor. It was a loss of inner and outer life," he said.

"I still met on Thursday at the KPK event. So my meeting with Mang Oded was at 11.00 WIB on Thursday morning. And 24 hours later they were separated," said the man who is familiarly called Emil.

In the meeting forum, Emil conveyed many lessons to be learned from Oded's death. First, Oded's personality who always spreads kindness and focuses on work. Always give a positive impression from everyone who knows him.

"Secondly, don't interrupt public services. Show the city of Bandung, to the people, that the bureaucracy built by Mang Oded is good at serving. That's what Mang Oded really hopes for," he said.

"Show that you love your leader with work, because by working well the reward is also for Mang Oded," he added.

On that occasion, Emil also delivered an official letter from the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the administration of leadership in the city of Bandung. For further follow up with the DPRD Bandung City.

"To be followed up by the DPRD in a plenary manner. First, the plenary dismissal of Mang Oded. Second, the plenary nomination of Pak Yana as definitive mayor. The third plenary dismissal of Pak Yana as deputy mayor," he explained.(asp)**
