Along with the increasing demands for public services, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) must be proactive and anticipatory. A dynamic bureaucracy, according to Yana, must be able to adapt to the industrial revolution 4.0. At least be able to optimize information technology and maintain consistent collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

"To ensure the achievement of this goal, the role of the inspectorate is very important, namely as a Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) who is responsible for comparing the implementation of each program and activity of each regional apparatus with work standards," said Yana.

With this year's supervisory title, Yana hopes that the inspectorate will be able to improve competence and be better prepared to oversee the performance of regional officials.

“This challenge can be overcome by improving the quality of APIP. Especially through increasing adaptability, expertise, improving risk management and better risk management,” said Yana.

"In line with that, APIP must also carry out the latest audit procedures and implementations so that accountability is maintained," he said.

In the same place, Bandung City Inspector, Fajar Kurniawan said, the second mission of Bandung City is to realize governance that is serving, effective, efficient and clean.

The aim is to increase the capability and accountability of the bureaucracy with the aim of increasing bureaucratic accountability and increasing the implementation of APIP.

“The development of APIP, establishing identity as a consultant, auditors are trying to find the root of the problem. Identifying the consequences are also recommendations that try to eliminate the causal elements and minimize the effects, so that they can carry out their operations more effectively, efficiently and economically," said Fajar.

Meanwhile, the West Java Representative BPKP Supervision Coordinator, Jaya Rahmad said, there is a need for control in the risk environment and culture such as upholding integrity and ethical values as well as a commitment to competence.

"So we need an organizational structure that is as needed and the realization of an effective APIP role and good working relationships with relevant government agencies," he explained.(yan)**
