This can be seen when the Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, monitored a number of points ahead of the turn of the year, Friday, December 31, 2021 night.

The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, carried out monitoring on New Year's Eve 2022, Friday 31 December 2021.

He initiated monitoring through the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS). Through loudspeakers connected to the Cikapayang and Jalan Merdeka intersections, he appealed to motorists to always obey traffic rules.

Not only that, he also greeted and thanked the people who had obeyed the traffic.

"Keep obeying traffic signs. Good night, happy new year's eve," Yana said in the ATCS room.

After that, using a motorbike, Yana and the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna monitored a number of locations.

A number of locations that had been visited included Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Braga, Jalan Lengkong Kecil, Jalan Ir H Djuanda and Jalan Diponegoro.

"Thank God it went smoothly, we also monitor that the Pasupati bridge remains safe and conducive," he said.

Yana said, after 23.00 WIB, the officers dispersed residents who were in crowded centers.

"Our agreement is that at 23.00 WIB, if there is a crowd, it will be disbanded," said Yana.

Yana admits that the people's anomie for recreation is indeed quite large. Moreover, residents have been vaccinated.

"Perhaps people after being vaccinated are a bit more confident. So far they have been staying at home because of the pandemic, they want to go for a walk," he said.

However, he emphasized that as long as the health protocols were strictly enforced, he was sure it would be safe and under control.

"As long as the procedure is implemented, God willing, it will be safe. Because vaccines are one of our efforts," he said.(yan)**
