Plt. Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana hopes that the Asia-Africa People's Crossing Bridge (JPO) can be activated and benefit the community. This is related to the condition of the JPO which had been neglected recently.

Currently, the pedestrian bridge is owned by a third party who assisted the Bandung City Government during the Asian-African Conference some time ago. So that according to regulations, the Bandung City Government has not been able to carry out maintenance.

"Regulatory terms have not been able to maintain it because there has been no handover," said Yana, Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

However, the current effort made by the Bandung City Government is to clean up the JPO.
Then the access to the bridge is temporarily locked.

Yana hopes that this temporary measure can reduce the potential for things that are not expected by irresponsible people.

He also stated that in the future the Bandung City Government would continue to encourage third parties to carry out the handover process. If it has been handed over, he hopes that this JPO can be activated.

"Later on (it can be activated) it becomes a monitoring post or tourist center, so that it is beneficial for the community," said Yana. (ray)**
