Bandung Becomes the Best of Indonesia's 100 Smart Cities

The city of Bandung emerged as the best city out of 100 Smart Cities in Indonesia. These results were obtained based on the evaluation results from the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkominfo RI).

Out of 100 smart cities, Bandung achieved a final score of 3.71 with an improvement rate of 0.37.

Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana, appreciated this award.

According to him, this award is the result of collaboration between all parties, starting from the Bandung City offices and the community.

"We should be grateful because the Smart City concept encourages a city to seek breakthroughs to solve problems and provide the best service for the community," he said.

He said the innovation was not just about technology, but a comprehensive innovation that could improve services for the community.

For example, Yayan mentions the programs of the offices in the city of Bandung such as the Buruan SAE program launched by the Dispangtan of Bandung City, the Layad Rawat program by the Bandung City Health Office, and many other programs.

"This is not just the hard work of one party, but all stakeholders and the people of Bandung City. These service programs can run optimally because of the pentahelix collaboration," he said.

He hopes that this award can spur the Bandung City Government to continue to improve services to the community.

For information, the evaluation indicators for the 100 Smart City evaluation are based on five aspects: baseline (weight 10 percent), output (weight 20 percent), outcome (weight 40 percent), impact (weight 30 percent), and the acceleration program or quick win (weighted 30 percent). 20 percent weight).

Furthermore, the baseline itself describes the improvement value obtained based on the evaluation results of the 2021 Masterplan and Quick Win Smart City implementation.
Then the output includes the formation of the foundation for the implementation of the smart city program, to assess the extent to which the city or district government prepares policies, institutions, and budgets for the smart city program.

While the outcome includes the implementation of the plans in the smart cify master plan, to assess the extent to which each plan is implemented by the local government.

Meanwhile, the impact includes the benefits felt by the community from the implementation of the smart city program, to measure the benefits and improvement of public services for the community, community involvement, and the sustainability of programs that have been running.

Finally, the acceleration program or quick win includes the innovation level of the smart cify acceleration program, to assess creativity and innovation power in the acceleration program.

The results of the assessment are categorized into two. First, the achievement index or average weight (performance) which is calculated from the baseline, output, outcome, impact and quick win.
Second, the index of improvement from baseline, output, outcome, impact and quick win to last year's value.

Overall, the city of Bandung scored 3.72 with a baseline of 3.72, output 3.60, quick win 3.88, impact 3.58, and outcome 3.71.

This evaluation activity was attended by 98 districts and cities who filled out a questionnaire (self-assessment) online at the smartcity.jasa.go.id link and attended online evaluation activities held on December 6-9 2021.(ray)***
