The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) ensures that a sense of security and order is maintained. Bandung City Government has prepared a number of sanctions for anyone who dares to violate.

Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana, emphasized that anyone who dares to violate the regulations in the City of Bandung, then you must be ready to go viral.

"Yes, it will go viral as a deterrent effect," he said at the Bandung Answering event, Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

This refers to Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning Public Order, Peace, and Community Protection.

This has been done by the Bandung City Government against a vandalism perpetrator in the Babakan Siliwangi area recently. The video of the perpetrator of the vandalism was shown on the social media of the Bandung Communications and Information Office (Diskominfo).

Likewise, screenshots of the video were used as banners and displayed in the vandalism area.

"Social sanctions have a greater deterrent effect than monetary sanctions," said Yayan.

The action taken by the Bandung City Government in giving strict sanctions is an effort to maximize the surveillance camera (CCTV) facilities in the city of Bandung.

In addition, Yayan also appealed to the public not to hesitate to report to 112 if there was an emergency case in the city of Bandung.

Another effort of the Bandung City Government in ensuring public order and comfort for the community is manifested in the form of collaboration with the Police.

On the same occasion, Public Relations of Bandung Polrestabes Kompol Rahayu Mustikaningsih emphasized that prosecution for violations in the city of Bandung is not only seen from the viral level of a crime.

"There is the term no viral no justice lately. That's not the case though. We have followed up 60 percent of the crime cases, and not all of them have gone viral,” explained Rahayu.

He also emphasized that all types of complaints, whether viral or not, were followed up by the police. Therefore, he appealed to the public not to hesitate to report.

As another option, Rahayu informs the contact service 110 for people who want to complain about violations related to public order or of a criminal nature.

Meanwhile, Head of Bandung City Satpol PP, Rasdian Setiadi, explained that there are three stages of sanctions for violators of public order in Bandung.

The first sanction is a light sanction in the form of an oral or written warning, the medium sanction is in the form of loading infringing content in the media. The severe sanctions can be in the form of detention of a personal identity card (KTP), to actions and fines according to applicable regulations.

In closing, Rasdian explained that the realization of public order and comfort in the city of Bandung cannot be separated from the participation of the community.

"Therefore, people should not be apathetic. If you see a violation, immediately report it to our members," he said. (ray)**
