Youth Space Kiaracondong A Place for Generating Ideas and Ideas

Youth Space or Youth Creativity Center in Bandung continues to be present. This time, Youth Space will be present in Kiaracondong District, Thursday, January 20, 2022.

By providing this space, it makes it easy for young people to give birth to ideas and ideas to produce relevant development.

"KNPI (Indonesian Youth National Committee) appreciates the steps of the Bandung City Government which always provides infrastructure for youth development," said Chairman of the Bandung City KNPI DPD, Edwin Gaddafi at the inauguration of Youth Space in Kiaracondong District, Thursday, January 20, 2022.

At the event, the Kiaracondong Youth Space was inaugurated by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana and the Head of the Youth and Sports Service, Edi Marwoto and the Head of Kiaracondong Sub-district, Rina Dewi Yanti.

According to Edwin, the presence of this space is a challenge for youth to provide ideas and ideas.

"Of course this is a challenge for youth after the government provides creative space. Youth have a calling because they cannot rely on what the government has given them, but to contribute to optimizing youth space," he explained.

He hopes that youth will be more enthusiastic as an effort to develop youth something with numbers and innovations.

"The more exciting youth stretches as a development effort. Youth with a large quantity, not only in number, but also in many works," said Edwin.

Meanwhile, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, said that the youth space in Kiaracondong is the 7th of a planned 30 creative spaces.

"Youth Space will be present in every sub-district. This is a political promise of the late (Oded M. Danial) and me for the 2018-2023 period," Yana said.

He hopes that the place will become a space for youth to participate in developing creativity.

"Hopefully this will be a place for young people in Kircon (Kiaracondong) to grow their creativity and build from the good to the better," he said.

He is optimistic that the different characteristics of youth will be able to build togetherness and solidarity.

"I believe that Kircon youths have different characteristics with high solidarity. It is also hoped that innovation will be born in the place that we facilitate," Yana explained.

"Hopefully, we can generate various ideas, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Accelerate the improvement of economic recovery," he said.

He said, this year's target will be to build 10 youth spaces. Meanwhile, in 2023, 11 youth spaces will be built.

"The budget is IDR 170 million per 1 youth space," he said.

In the same place, the Head of the Youth and Sports Service, Edi Marwoto explained, in 2021 it will be possible to build youth spaces in 7 locations. These include Antapani, Kiaracondong, Gedebage, Ujungberung, Mandalajati, Coblong and Andir sub-districts.

"In 2020 there will be 4 locations. Until the end of 2021, 11 locations have been built," he explained.

Edi said that youth have a strategic role and characteristics in the development of the city of Bandung.

"It requires a forum for the development of youth potential and the field of leadership, pioneering entrepreneurship in collaboration in the youth space," he said.

"As in the 2018-2023 RPJMD, this infrastructure target is implemented in the Bandung mayor's priority program, the Bandung Mayor's promise that must be realized until 2023," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Kiaracondong Sub-district, Rina Dewi Yanti, explained that the place is a center of communication and innovation in the element of youth that exists within.

"There are a lot of youth in Kiaracondong, we have KNPI, Scouts and other youth organizations. We gather all of them to unite in generating ideas," said Rina.(yan)**
