(Plt) Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana asked the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) to continue to provide comfort and security for the community. Including in crowded centers in the city of Bandung.

"I remind you to concentrate on some of the central points of crowds of residents' activities," he said at the Big Gathering of the Bandung City Satpol PP members, at Yonkav 4/Kijang Cakti, Jalan Salak, Friday, January 21, 2022.

Yana said that one of the tasks of the Satpol PP is to fulfill the rights of citizens, especially those regulated in Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning public order, peace and community protection.

"Reminding the duties and main functions of the Satpol PP. Enforcing local regulations, mayoral regulations (Perwal) in order and peace, including the convenience of Bandung residents.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Yana asked the Satpol PP to continue to help suppress the transmission of Covid-19. One of them is by continuing to give advice to the public, especially in public spaces.

"The virus must mutate, with any variant. This latest variant (omicron) has a fast spreading character. Always remind residents to apply health procedures in crowded places. Health protocol is the key," said Yana.

In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Satpol PP, Rasdian Setiadi explained, the big apple activity was in the context of the readiness of members to improve public security and peace.

"As the implementation of the duties, principals and functions in the enforcement of regional regulations and regulations, to form trained members and understanding of strategy and their role as part of the government," he said.

The rally was attended by 715 members of the Satpol PP. They are ready to maintain public order.

Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Rasdian said, 50 percent of the Satpol PP members carried out supervision over the handling of Covid-19.

"Currently, 50 percent of the Satpol PP is under supervision of the handling of Covid-19. Whether it is prevention, woro woro socialization and enforcement," said Rasdian.

He ensured that members of the Satpol PP routinely went around giving appeals to the public. Both use the means of vehicles to walk.
