Plt. Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana ensured that the Bandung City Government would always support the growing creative industry. He assessed that the creative industry could boost the economy of Bandung City in 2022.

This was conveyed by Yana when meeting the National Creative Economy Movement at Bandung City Hall, Friday, January 21, 2022. She considers Bandung as a city inhabited by creative citizens.

"That's right. Bandung is one of the centers of the Creative Economy. I appreciate the efforts of players in this industry, especially during the pandemic," said Yana.

The form of Bandung City Government support for the creative economy is present through the exhibition of creative economy products. One of them is through the Co-Working Space exhibition which was held at the Bandung Creative Hub on January 7, 2022 ago.

The exhibition presented MSME products from 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy in the city of Bandung.

He also believes that there must be wisdom behind the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit all parties. In addition, Yana is optimistic about the creativity of the people of Bandung, which seems to have no end.

“Please the people of Bandung to be creative and innovate. Bandung City Government is always supportive,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Creative Economy Movement (Gekraf), Muhammad Al Hadad, said that Gekraf is a forum that embraces creative industry players, especially those in the city of Bandung.

In order for the creative industry to level up, Hadad said that there need to be three elements: parties who care and move, actors in the creative economy themselves, and thinkers to analyze the development of the creative economy.

"Between creative economy actors and the government, we must support each other, not individually," he explained.

He hopes that Gekraf and the Bandung City Government can synergize and foster each other's creative economy actors in the city of Bandung.

"In the future, let's focus on welcoming the presence of digitalization (to advance creative economy players)," he said.

During the meeting, members of Gekraf who worked with creative economy products were also present.(ray)**
