This new opportunity was created as a result of the collaboration between the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of Bandung City and Pussenif which is under the structure of the Indonesian Army's Doctrine, Education and Training (Dankodiklat) Command which was inaugurated on Friday, January 21, 2022.

Plt. The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, who also attended this event, hoped that the achievements of the athletes in the city of Bandung would increase with the facilities owned by Pussenif.

"Hopefully, with this collaboration, we can produce talented athletes and bring the good name of the city of Bandung. Not only achievements in the regional arena, but also internationally," said Yana.

According to Yana, the abilities of Bandung's athletes cannot be underestimated. At PON Papua 2020, the Bandung City athlete contingent contributed 33 percent of the gold medal.

"Our athletes are great. We have been able to donate 33 percent of gold medals. After being able to train at Pussenif, our achievements must be further improved," added Yana.

Welcoming Yana's hopes, the Commander of Pussenif, Lt. Gen. TNI Arif Rahman, said that this collaboration was a matter of pride for Pussenif.

Arif also hopes that through this Pussenif, athletes can optimize the facilities here to improve their achievements.

"We are very proud to be working with the Bandung City KONI. Please maximize the facilities here. You can use rock climbing, archery, tennis, table tennis, shooting and other exercises," said Arif.

In line with Arif, Chairman of the Bandung City KONI, Nuryadi said that Bandung City athletes really need adequate facilities to practice.

"Our athletes really need complete facilities and infrastructure to practice. In this Pussenif we see many facilities that can be optimized together," said Nuryadi.

In this meeting, Nuryadi also mentioned that the city of Bandung has 14,322 athletes.

"All these athletes are spread out in championships at regional, national and international levels. Of course they need adequate facilities in training," he said

"For example, the sport of archery requires a large area of 60-70 meters. We are a bit difficult to find this wide area in the city of Bandung. Thank God, we can find it in Pussenif," added Nuryadi. (din)**
