It should be noted that the number of active Covid-19 cases in the city of Bandung has increased in recent days. As of Tuesday, January 25, 2022, there were 183 cases. Whereas previously it was at 100 cases.

"In principle, the region provides independent isolation, all 30 sub-districts are ready. Hopefully it will not be used (the isoman area)," said the Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, at Bandung City Hall, Wednesday, January 26 2022 evening.

According to Yana, this is a quick move from the Bandung City Government in minimizing the burden on hospitals related to the availability of beds in hospitals or the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR).

"According to the direction of the central government, because Omicron's symptoms are relatively mild, it is hoped that not all of them will go to the hospital. So that they don't burden the hospital and make the BOR high," said Yana.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, said the public remained vigilant and did not ignore the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We encourage them to continue to carry out socialization, this is an effort. Satpol PP in the region must also continue to remind the public," he said.

Regarding Covid-19, Tedy also stated that the sub-district has a budget for handling Covid-19.

"We have allocated a special budget for areas that are quite adequate for handling Covid-19," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Camat Association, Firman Nugraha, explained that all sub-districts in Bandung City have again prepared an isoman room. This step is in anticipation of an increase in cases.

"He was reminded again by the Task Force to prepare and re-check the place. Indeed, we are providing it when a case occurs," said Firman.

He also confirmed that he would continue to coordinate with the District Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimcam) regarding the handling of the spread of Covid-19 in each region.

"We continue to coordinate with Forkopimcam, we will continue to monitor it," he said. (yan)**
