This time, in RW 01, Karasak Village, Astana Anyar District, on Jalan Kurdi, there are Ginger Village and Turmeric Village.

The presence of the village also collaborates with academic elements, namely the Pharmacy Study Program & LPPM, Bandung Islamic University.

"We encourage people to use the land by planting crops," said Head of RW 01, Dadang Sungkawa, Friday, February 4, 2022.

According to Dadang, these two villages were born because of the community's concern to continue to innovate by utilizing existing plants.

Moreover, these two villages received support from the Islamic University of Bandung (Unisba). Among them the provision of 50 trees as high as 10 cm.

"There are 2 harvests during this 1 year. The results have not been significantly tested for the ginger function for bandrek. It has only been running for 1 year," he said.

The results can be consumed by the surrounding community. It can even be a bandrek herbal drink.

"This ginger can produce bandrek products," he said.

He hopes that the community can participate in utilizing the land around the environment.

"The hope is to be able to participate, with the presence of this ginger plant, the community's economic growth will even extend to culinary. The plan is also to become a Kurdish Ginger Cafe," he explained.

Appreciation was also expressed by the Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana that the community was able to take advantage of the surrounding land.

"The SAE Hurry Program is good, it uses vacant lands around people's homes and thematic plants, there is ginger, there is turmeric. Hopefully this can be duplicated in other places," he said.

He added that 96.47 percent of food ingredients were supplied from outside the city of Bandung, so that the use of land was able to reduce food tension from outside.

"Hopefully with this SAE Hurry Program we can use the existing land with any kind of plants. But we hope that food crops will reduce our dependence," he explained.

"From 96.47 percent, we can lower it to 80.75 percent, gradually with massive citizen movements like this. Because if you feel the benefits, I think residents are also enthusiastic to plant like this," he explained.

In the same place, Secretary of Unisba Pharmacy Study Program, Kiki Mulkiya explained that his party also provided socialization of seeds in the area.

"We want to develop a ginger village by providing training on how to use ginger more comfortably," he said.
