Bandung City Needs 7,450 TPS During the Next 2024 Election
The General Election Commission (KPU) of Bandung City needs 7,450 polling stations (TPS) in the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR, provincial DPRD, regency/city DPRD and members of the DPD RI on February 14, 2024. Meanwhile, for the simultaneous regional head elections to be held on 27 November 2024, the Bandung City KPU requires 5,439 TPS.
This was revealed when the chairman of the KPU Bandung, Suharti met Plt. Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana at Bandung City Hall, Friday 4 February 2022.
"The 2024 election will have 5 ballots. Meanwhile, the regional election will only have 2 ballots. So the number of TPS during the 2024 election will also be more," said Suharti.
Thus, said Suharti, the 2024 election also requires more officers than the 2024 Pilkada.
Suharti estimates that during the 2024 election, 52,150 officers will be needed. Meanwhile, the 2024 Pilkada requires 38,073 officers.
"We need 5 PPK in 30 sub-districts, each sub-district needs 150 people, namely PPK officers in each sub-district. KPU also needs PPS in 151 Kelurahan with 3 personnel each, so we need around 453 people for TPS officers, " he said.
He also said that the KPU also needed regional ASN secretariats in PPK and PPS. In KDP, there are 3 secretariats, 30 sub-districts need 90 civil servants in the sub-districts to become the PPK secretariat.
Related to this, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana ensured that the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) would support the implementation of the 2024 general election and local elections.
"Our principle is, of course, that the Bandung City Government will assist in the process of organizing the stages, both the general election and the regional head election," Yana said. (asy)**
