The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) ensures that the availability of oxygen in the city of Bandung is still safe. This is related to the anticipation of the surge in cases of the omnicorn variant of the Covid-19 variant.

This was conveyed by Plt. Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana when reviewing the availability of oxygen at PT. Various Industrial Gases, Monday 7 February 2022.

"If we see enough. And Alhamdulillah, some hospitals already have tanks so they have stock for a few days," he said.

Although the availability of oxygen at PT. Aneka Gas is currently still at 80 percent, Yana hopes that the stock will not be used up.

Not only the availability of oxygen, but Yana also said that the Bandung City Government would also periodically ensure the availability of health facilities, including hospitals and self-isolation areas. This is an effort to anticipate the spike in Covid-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Trade and Industry Service, Elly Wasliah, conveyed the same thing.

He revealed that currently 13 hospitals in Bandung already have tanks to store oxygen reserves.

“Technically, we don't rely on tubes. So from this tank, there is a direct line to the patient rooms," he explained.

Reflecting on the surge in Covid-19 cases in mid-2021, both from the Bandung City Government and PT. Aneka Gas ensures that the current condition is much more stable.

In addition to the much lower demand, currently, 17 hospitals in Bandung have partnered with PT. Various Industrial Gases.

The 17 partner hospitals include: Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Borromeus Hospital, Melinda Hospital, Adventist Hospital, Muhammadiyah Hospital, Cicendo Eye Hospital, RS. Kebon Jati, Halmahera Hospital, and Al Islam Hospital.

Technically, the Deputy Director of PT. Various Gas Industries, Sonni Prabowo, ensured that the availability of oxygen in this place was safe.

Figures 9 tons of oxygen availability when converted is equivalent to 8,000 cubic meters or 1,300 cylinders. According to Sonni, this amount is still in the safe category, aka available.

"In July - August 2021 it was at its peak. It's still far away, so it's still safe (availability of oxygen)," he said. (ray)**
