Two Quick Steps of the Bandung City Government in Running PPKM Level 3.
The status of the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in the Greater Jakarta and Greater Bandung areas has now increased to level 3. In response to this, the Bandung City Government took two quick steps.
This was conveyed by Plt. Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana at City Hall, Monday 7 February 2022. Currently, the status of PPKM in Bandung City has increased to level 3.
"Our quick steps are to disperse the crowd and tighten the health protocols," said Yana.
He explained that technically the tightening of health protocols would be carried out starting from the regional level. In the near future, the Bandung City Government will monitor this matter.
Basically, tightening health protocols emphasizes the use of masks for people who are active outside the home. Later, people who are found not carrying masks will be given masks by officers.
In addition, economic activities that have been relaxed recently, such as offices, restaurants, hotels, cafes and tourist attractions, must also tighten health protocols and the applicable visitor restriction regulations.
Further, regarding treatment in the region, such as in handling pandemics in 2020 and 2021, such as Micro PPKM or small-scale area restrictions, it can be done if the increase in cases increases.
Reflecting on the experience of handling pandemics in 2020 and 2021, Yana is optimistic that the City of Bandung can overcome the recent increase in Covid-19 cases.
