Anticipating a spike in cases, the Bandung city government ensures that each area has an Isoman place
Antapani sub-district has a healthy halfway house that is intended for healthy residents, but has family members who have been exposed to Covid-19. This is highly appreciated by the Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna.
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, ensures that every area in the City of Bandung is provided with proper self-isolation (isoman).
Although I hope that it will not be used, the place is already available for the community if they need an isoman place.
To be sure, Ema has reviewed the isoman in Antapani, Arcamanik, Rancasari and Buahbatu sub-districts.
"This is just to anticipate. Community participation is extraordinary. Moreover, the environment is clean," said Ema on the sidelines of the review, Wednesday, January 9, 2022.
Ema appreciated the local residents for their solidarity in preventing Covid-19.
In Antapani there is a healthy halfway house for residents who are healthy, but have family members who have been exposed to Covid-19.
"I also salute the cohesiveness of the community, as well as commitment. That cohesiveness can be seen," said Ema.
In Arcamanik District, Ema assessed that Sukamiskin Village has an ideal isoman place.
"The place is ideally owned by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights belonging to the prison there. The ventilation is good, there is also a place for sunbathing," he said.
Ema added that residents who were exposed could do isoman in their respective homes. As long as it can be separated from other healthy family members.
"There are also people who are isoman in their respective homes. The head of the Puskesmas conveyed that some residents who were isoman at home met the rules and criteria because the house was adequate. Like the 2-story house, the sick were on the top, the healthy were on the bottom," he explained.
Meanwhile, in Rancasari District, Ema also considered the location of the isoman to be quite feasible. Not too much passing by. So that the allocation is appropriate.
Ema explained that each sub-district has an isoman place. So that 1 place can be used by more than one person.
"Here (Rancasari sub-district) there are 8 isomans. The capacity is more than 1 person," he said.
He added that currently, according to data from the Bandung City Covid-19 Task Force, there are 232 isoman places.
"The majority have not been used (the isoman place) because it is appropriate in their respective homes," he said.(yan)**
