Relaxation of Bandung City Economic Activities Will Increase to 50 Percent

The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, will issue a new regulation as a derivative of the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 10 of 2022. This relaxation does not mean that we are free to go anywhere. There is still a 50 percent limit.

The city of Bandung will increase the relaxation or opening of restrictions on economic activities from 25 percent to 50 percent. The Acting Mayor (Plt) of the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana said, this decision will be regulated in the latest Mayor Regulation (Perwal).

"In the near future, we will issue a new regulation as a derivative of the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 10 of 2022. This relaxation does not mean that we are free to go anywhere. There is still a 50 percent restriction," Yana said during a limited meeting of Forkopimda PPKM evaluation on, Wednesday 16 February 2022.

In addition, Yana said, supervision of health protocols (prokes) on limited face-to-face learning (PTMT) will also continue to be carried out.

Although 47 positive cases of Covid-19 students have been found in the school environment, PTMT will continue to operate in accordance with the Joint Decree (SKB) of the four ministers.

"So far there are 1.77 percent positive cases. So PTMT can still run. However, we also provide space for parents to choose distance learning (PJJ) if they really object to PTMT," he said.

This relaxation of activity restrictions, Yana added, needs to be accompanied by maximizing the vaccination process and disciplined health protocols (prokes).

"In accordance with the direction of the Indonesian president, we will prioritize these two things, namely increasing vaccinations and health care discipline. We plan to also travel around the city of Bandung to distribute masks and remind the public about minimum health care discipline to wear masks," said Yana.

Meanwhile, the Daily Head of the Covid-19 Task Force (Satgas) for the City of Bandung, Asep Gufron explained, until February 15, 2022, the number of vaccinations in the City of Bandung is increasing.

"Vaccination continues to be added. For dose 1, we have reached 111.98 percent. Then dose 2 has reached 98.28 percent. While dose 3 has reached 9.63 percent," said Asep.

In addition, to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases, Asep added, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has implemented several policies. Such as the implementation of odd-even at five toll gates in Bandung City and road closures on weekends.

"As a result, there were 2,572 vehicles that were turned around at five tollgates during this implementation," he added.

Supporting this policy, Dandim 0618 Bandung City, Colonel Inf. Sapta Budhi Purnama suggested that his team would patrol several points in Bandung, especially at night.

"For patrols, we will encourage more to crowded places, especially at night because there are still many crowds," said Sapta.

Sapta ensured that his party would fully contribute to overseeing further policies after the Perwal began to be implemented. (din)**
