This is due to the fact that several construction requirements that were once the ‘homework’, have now been done.

“Approximately, this year, it can be finished since several required things have been addressed, such as amdal or environmental impact assessment and traffic,” Ema explained while observing the toll exit KM 148 location on Thursday, 17 February 2022.

“Then, several requirements from the province to the Indonesian Government are still on progress, similar with the establishment of the road. If everybody is synergic, this year, the toll can be functional,” she said.

Although, according to Ema, this project is not that of urgency, but its long-lasting benefits will be felt by the public.

Particularly by those in Ujungberung, Cibiru, Arcamanik, Cibiru, and Margahayu who want to go to Jakarta.

“I believe the users will be outweighed by people outside this region. They could be from Cibiru, Ujungberung, Arcamanik, or Margahayu,” she said.

“Therefore, I believe it is rational that the construction should be accelerated from the existing toll to the South Gedebage exit toll that is connected with the Soekarno Hatta crossroad,” she stated.

However, Ema added that there were several problems that should be addressed for the acceleration of the opening of toll exit 149. Two of which are land acquisition and lane widening in South Gedebage.

“It is true that there must be a land acquisition for the lane widening of this toll exit. However, I think the standard lane width is ideally 14 meter,” she said.

Therefore, Ema said that in optimally addressing such issues related to this toll exit, there must be a meeting with every party involved for consensual agreement purposes.

Not only does this apply to the Government, this also covers the public and PT. Summarecon Bandung as our partner with the West Java Province that is in charge of this toll exit project.

“This requires other meetings involving the Indonesian Government, the Provincial and Regional Government, Summarecon, and the public. At this moment, the focus is the temporary construction of the road connecting to South Gedebage,” she stated.

“Concerning the lane width in South Gedebage, there must be line widening for both left and right sides,” she continued. (din)**
