This February, Goodbye Crosswise Wires
The Secretary of Bandung Government, Ema Sumarna, assured that there will be no more of crosswise wires on Ir. H. Juanda St. in February 2022. All wires on this street will be displaced to the underground.
“These (wires) will enter the mainhole facilities that have been prepared. On 25 February, we will handle the displacement process of the wires, starting from Simpang Dago to the Martadinata crossroad (Riau St.),” said Ema Sumarna, Friday, 18 February 2022.
On that occasion, Ema, along with respective officials from government agencies, monitored the process of displacing wires on Ir. H. Juanda St.
Ema ensured that the displacement process to the underground is a way to give the sense of security to the public. In addition, the displacement is also a measurement from the Bandung Government to arrange the city.
“There will be 13 streets that will be arranged. This is an agreement with the Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jaringan Telekomunikasi (Apjatel), PT. Telkom, and PT PLN,” Ema said.
Although it is aimed to be done in this February, the Bandung City Government gives an extension to PT Telkom to rearrange its wires, since it has a considerable number of customers.
“An exception is given to PT Telkom, they require more time since it has a huge number of customers: 1.500,” Ema stated.
“It is logical, we give an extension. It has been estimated until the middle of March 2022 (it is done),” he said.
He believed that the displacement process from Cikapayang Park to Sariningsih Hospital has been carried out. It has been done by PT Telkom and the Apjatel.
“The commitment must be maintained, with supervision and management as keys. Alhamdulillah, they are responsible in terms of the timetable that they proposed,” he said. (yan)**
