The collaboration was carried out through a forum called Forum Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) Perusahaan Kota Bandung. The Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, hoped that this forum could propel all stakeholders to help with the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in Bandung City.

“Thanks to the companies contributing since 2021, the public can receive support in forms of oxygen, medical package, basic foods, and others through this CSR program,” Yana said.

During the discussion, Yana also described the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in Bandung City that gradually decreases. Initially it was 1.3000 cases a day, now it becomes 1.200 new cases a day.

“Hopefully, it decreases gradually. In conclusion, we must be vaccinated and comply to health protocols regardless the variance (of the virus). This is because the transmission is still the same: through droplets,” he stated.

In addition, as a solution to the increase of ambulance requests for Covid-19 patients, the Public Relations of Telkomsel of Bandung City, Indra Prayoga, stated that people, later on, could access ambulance service through an application that would be developed with the Health Agency of Bandung City.

“There will be ambulance service on an application that we are developing with the Health Agency so that the public can immediately request an ambulance,” Indra stated.

Besides Telkomsel, another partner of Bandung City Government is Bio Farma. The Head of Parternship Division of Bio Farma, Sarmedi, stated that, this year, Bio Farma is to support the program held together with the Bandung City Government.

“This year, hopefully, we can collaborate again. We are ready to provide health facilities for Bandung people,” Sarmedi said.

Not only in terms of health facilities, to address issues regarding with food supply such as cooking oil that has been recently become a polemic, the Bandung Government has also taken several strategic measurements.

Additionally, the Head of Regional Foreign Trade of Trade and Industry Agency (Disdagin) of Bandung City, Bariati Ratna Aju, on Monday, 21 February 2022, stated that her team was monitoring the supply of cooking oil and creating an affordable market for the public.

“We are monitoring the supply of cooking oil in the market. Approximately, there are 18.000 litres of bulk cooking oil for merchants given by the Ministry of Trade,” Bariati said.

To monitor purchases of cooking oil, Disdagin created a food task force. It is hoped that by creating this task force, there will not be people panic buying or merchants who stockpile cooking oil and sell it beyond the controlled price by the Government. (din)**
