Ema: Significant! Development of Cable Transfer on Jalan Dago

The development of groundbreaking ducting in the Dago area, Bandung City, has increased significantly. This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung, Ema Sumarna when reviewing the cable drop at Simpang Dago (Cikapayang), Friday, March 4, 2022 night.
Although there are still remaining cables from Telkom and PLN providers, Ema appreciates this significant development. He also targets the remaining ducting on Jalan Ir. H. Juanda (Dago) finished mid-March.
"We are targeting the end of February, but we are giving a dispensation because Telkom can only complete the reduction process in mid-March. There are a lot of consumers, around 1,500. But we appreciate the progress," said Ema.
After the reduction of the Telkom cable, in the future Ema will ensure that only the PLN cable will remain on the Dago road section.
He explained that this happened because the cable reduction was not included in PLN's planned part in the 2022 budget year.
Even so, Ema ensured that the Bandung City Government would continue to coordinate so that PLN would join the ducting program.
“Because after all this ducting program, everyone must participate (lower the cable down). So that the city can be more neat and orderly. There are no more cables in the air, no more stray poles that interfere with aesthetics and others," he explained.
On Friday night, the descent was carried out at the Dago intersection (across from Taman Cikapayang in front of Bank Danamon). The night time was chosen by reason of adjusting the volume of vehicles passing on the road segment.
"We are coordinating with the ranks of the Traffic Unit (Traffic Unit Polrestabes Bandung). Because traffic engineering in this area will not last long,” he explained.
Furthermore, the cable reduction is targeted for completion in mid-March. Regarding the PLN cable, Ema stated that the Bandung City Government was also looking for a drill to move the cable underground.
If the transfer of cables on Jalan Dago is complete, the previous road section that will be arranged is Jalan LLRE. Martadinata (Riau Street).
“Our target this year is to complete the ducting program for 13 roads in Bandung. And the progress must be significant," he said. (ray)**
