The City Government (Pemkot) is still waiting for the central government's direction regarding changing the status of the pandemic to being endemic for Covid-19.

"We are waiting for the central government's decision. Bandung is endemic or still a pandemic. The theory seems that Bandung is entering an endemic phase," said Plt. Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana when receiving the new Chief of the Attorney General for the City of Bandung, Rachmad Vidianto at Bandung City Hall, Friday, March 11, 2022.

Yana revealed vaccinations continue to run. Until now, the achievement of vaccination has reached 112 percent for the first dose and 100 percent for the second dose.

“The first dose is 112 percent and the second dose is 100 percent, this continues. For cases of death 70 percent have not been fully vaccinated, 30 percent are comorbid," he said.

Despite the high vaccination rate, Yana appealed to residents to continue to adhere to health protocols to suppress the spread of the virus.

"Take care of each other by wearing a mask, also through the application of care and protection," he said.

"One of our efforts is the wrong mask. Because the virus mutates so that any variant of its spread, it can be minimized by wearing a mask," Yana added.

Apart from that, Yana stated that she was ready to synergize with the Bandung City Attorney's Office (Kejari).

"On behalf of the Bandung City Government, I would like to welcome the new Chief of the Attorney General's Office. We hope that we can synergize to provide the best service to the community," Yana said.

Yana hopes that collaboration and communication between the Bandung City Government and the Kejari will run well. This is because it is one of the main keys to successful development.

"Today, we open a meeting with the new head of the Kejari, we can continue various programs that have been well established," he said.
