Responding to this case, the Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Service (Disdagin), Elly Wasliah, said that he had coordinated with the Food Task Force (Satgas) to check the veracity of the information.

His team and the Food Task Force arrived at the location on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

"We also just got the information, yes. We continue to coordinate with the Bandung City Food Task Force, and today the task force will go to the field. We will see how it develops later," said Elly.

If the allegations are proven true, Elly added, the Bandung City Government will give severe sanctions to the perpetrators in accordance with orders from the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.

"Pak Plt Mayor has also given orders, if there is hoarding, strict sanctions must be given so that there is a deterrent effect," he said.

"We will leave the sanctions to the police because the head of the Bandung City Food Task Force happens to be the Kasatresrim Polrestabes Bandung. We will first see how the report results, and of course we will process it legally," he added. (din)*
