Yana Asks LPTQ to Maintain the Reputation of Bandung City at the MTQ Event
The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, asked the Bandung City Tilawatil Quran Development Institute (LPTQ) to focus more on fostering public understanding of the Koran.
Including maintaining the reputation of the city of Bandung as a subscription area for the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) champion.
This was revealed by Yana during the inauguration of the LPTQ management for the 2022-2025 period at the Ahadiat Hotel, Jalan Sindang Sirna, Monday, November 21, 2021 night.
"I hope that the LPTQ management for the 2022-2025 period can carry out their duties with trust, consistently foster public understanding, especially the City of Bandung towards the Koran, and be able to maintain the art of reading, writing and interpreting the Koran," Yana said.
He explained that the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) formed the LPTQ, among others, in charge of fostering the people through the art of reading, writing, and deepening the meaning of the Koran, which were then contested in MTQ activities.
Therefore, said Yana, the Bandung City Government provides full support to LPTQ which is planned to take part in the 37th MTQ at the West Java Province level in Sumedang Regency in May.
"We should be grateful, the City of Bandung has a good reputation in MTQ activities. At least it was able to win 8 consecutive overall champions at the provincial level," he said.
"Of course, this achievement must be maintained and even improved to be even better. At least, we will win the overall champion again," he added.
For that too, Yana hopes, LPTQ and the caravans prepare themselves optimally so that their reputation is maintained. In addition, so that the function of MTQ as a symbol that invites true goodness is maintained.
"This role must be strengthened by the Bandung City LPTQ management for the 2022-2025 period. The essence is to make LPTQ an institution that oversees all learning related to the Koran," said Yana.
Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Bandung City LPTQ for the 2022-2025 period, Asep Saeful explained, the Bandung City caravan was determined to provide maximum results in the upcoming MTQ.
"Hopefully with this new management, it can provide achievements in every MTQ event," he said.
In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Ministry of Religion Office, Tedi Ahmadjunaedi said that the progress of coaching to achieve the goal of becoming an overall champion at the provincial level is getting real.
"Shari'a, our coaches are experts in their fields. Not only experts, but also those who have real experience, used to be participants, now become coaches and continue to focus on MTQ," he said. (asy)**
