The Bandung City Government Held a Charity Event through Cooking Oil

The Bandung City Government collaborated with PDAM of Bandung City and Pusat Zakat Umat distributed cooking oil to people. The distribution involved Forum RW of Bandung City as the collaborator on site.

The cooking oil was distributed symbolically by the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, in the Sub-district Office of Astanaanyar, Tuesday, 22 March 2022.

Yana appreciated the cooking oil distribution. He said that this kind of small kindness could be something huge if done massively.

“Awesome. What is spread today is kindness of great value,” Yana said.

For your information, the funds for the cooking oil distribution are from the collective cost sharing by the employees of PDAM. The collective cost sharing is known as ‘kencleng’ and it results in 1.180 cooking oils distributed to the public.
 
Yana hoped that this collective action could be an example in other areas, particularly Bandung City.

“Hopefully, in the future, this form of kindness is varied based on the dynamic of public needs,” he said.

In addition, the representative of Pusat Zakat Umat, Heri Solehudin, said that they had been collaborating with the Bandung City Government for a long time through the regional government in Astana Anyar Sub-district.

He hoped that the distribution could benefit both the givers and receivers.

“Hopefully, we could distribute this small benefit and turn it into good deeds,” he said. (ray)**
