To promote Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the Acting Mayor of Bandung City will instruct Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) and Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD) to purchase local products.

“We make a circular letter asking respective SKPD and BUMD to use local MSMEs products in Bandung City available on e-katalog,” Yana said in the official opening of Dekranasda Patrakomala Gallery of Bandung City, Saturday, 26 March 2022.

“We could be the host for these diverse MSMEs products of Bandung City, starting from craft, food, fashion, everything is available. It then rests on the government’s help through business matching,” he emphasized.

One of the ways is through e-katalog, an online shopping application developed by the Service/Product Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP).

This application provides various products from varied commodities required by the government.

Yana explained that currently there were 200 thousand products on e-katalog from across Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian government aims for 1 million MSMEs products joining with e-katalog in May.

“There are certain criteria that must be met. Hopefully, Bandung City could start preparing to join e-katalog. We support anyone whose passion wants to be an entrepreneur. Insyaallah, the government is present to increase MSMEs quality of Bandung City,” he said.

Responding to this announcement, the Head of Dekranasda of Bandung City, Yunimar Mulyana, stated that e-katalog would be one of marketing strategies of Dekranasda.

“As for the marketing strategies, other than through exhibitions, based on the instruction of the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, we will also show (products) on e-katalog,” Yunimar said.

Additionally, Yunimar added that Dekranasda would work together with the Culture and Tourism Agency (Disbudpar) of Bandung City to promote Patrakomala Gallery through PT. KAI, airports, or in other places.

“We will ask every guest visiting Bandung City to come here. We also collaborate with hotels and travel agencies to invite tourists to the gallery, so that people could see our products,” she said.

Currently, there are 250 products from various MSMEs of Bandung City shown on the display cases of Patrakomala Gallery. All products have been curated by Dekranasda.

“All products here are unique because they have been curated. Periodically, every three months, MSMEs products of Bandung City will be shown in turns. Additionally, they will be shown in exhibitions,” she said.

Yunimar hoped that with this gallery, the Bandung City Government could help entrepreneurs in the economic recovery by displaying their products.

“This gallery is one of Dekranasda’s efforts in promoting MSMEs craftsmen’s creativity. So, they could be empowered and independent after being affected by the pandemic,” Yunimar said.

Patrakomala Gallery is a form of partnership implementation between Dekranasda and the Bandung City Government and is facilitated by the Trade and Industry Agency (Disdagin) of Bandung City as one way to promote and strengthen featured product of Bandung City.

“Dekranasda is an initiative of Umi Siti Muntamah. Up until now, she still provides support for us to continue managing Dekranasda. So, we now can have a home for promoting MSMEs products,” she said.

With this gallery, Yunimar hoped that the MSMEs revenue target through Dekranasda could reach Rp10 billion in 2022.

Additionally, the Head of Disdagin of Bandung City, Elly Wasliah, stated that since the soft opening since November 2021, Dekranasda had reached a revenue of Rp100 million.

“Before the big launching like now, alhamdulillah we have reached Rp100 million. So, the target of Dekranasda of Bandung City in 2022, the total revenue could reach Rp10 billion. Because, last year, out target was Rp6 billion and alhamdulillah it was more than that,” Elly said.

To date, Elly informed that fashion was still the featured product of Bandung City. Looking at its potential, she said that, shortly, Dekranasda and Disdagin of Bandung City would hold several fashion events.

“Around September, there will be Bandung Week Market event. Then, there will be Bandung Fashion Week, an even bigger event than Pasar Kreatif because the chosen products are of export quality. It will be held in June 2022,” she exemplified.

Both programs, Elly emphasized, were a form of collaboration between Disdagin and Dekra to increase exports. This is because the consumers of MSMEs products of Bandung City are not only domestic, but are also reaching overseas.

“We mostly export to Asia regions, such as Japan, Korea, and Singapore. Some are also exported to Europe,” she emphasized. (din)
