I can't believe it, in a few days the holy month of Ramadan will arrive. To prepare for Ramadan, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) kept in touch with the Bandung New Market Traders Association on Monday, March 28, 2022.

In this gathering, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, invited market traders to upload together. On the sidelines of the upload, Yana chatted casually with the traders there. Loud laughter adds to the warmth of this upload.

The traders also gave some of their aspirations regarding the relaxation of trading in the month of Ramadan in April.

Responding to these aspirations, Yana conveyed to the representatives of the traders to be calmer and keep the spirit in doing activities in public spaces

"Mango, fellow traders, please take advantage of this Ramadan to restore the economy of the city of Bandung. But, of course, you have to obey the health protocols," Yana appealed.

Yana hopes that the COVID-19 status in the Greater Bandung area can change from a pandemic to endemic.

"We are working together so that the pandemic in the city of Bandung can turn into an endemic. So that economic activities in the Greater Bandung area can run more freely as usual," he said.

In addition, Yana ensured that she would continue to monitor the development of COVID-19 in the city of Bandung. Until now, the addition of COVID-19 cases in the city of Bandung has continued to decline.

According to data from covid19.bandung.go.id, the number of active confirmations of COVID-19 as of last Monday was 1,481 people.

"We've touched the daily figure of 3,000 people and even more who are confirmed positive. Hopefully it will continue to slope. We're also trying to get vaccinated," he said. (din)*
