Integrated on ZX (Zakat Express) Application, Requesting for 1.500 Ambulances is Now as Easy as Accessing Online Ojek
How hard it was to access oxygen, ambulance, and other health services is still ingrained in our minds when the pandemic tide was rising in the middle of last year. The delayed measurements caused the losing of hundreds of lives.
Concerning that issues, the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of West Java developed an application named ZX (Zakat Express). Through this app, all health services in every city can be integrated.
With one click people can access ambulances and other health services as easy as ordering online ojek.
The Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, viewed that the birth of this application could be a solution for all people in Bandung City.
“Bandung City is the first city integrated through the ZX (Zakat Express) application. Various health services such as ambulances, oxygen, unoccupied rooms in hospitals will be inputted. So, anyone coming to Bandung City could access everything easily,”
Additionally, ZX (Zakat Express) application also has other features, such as Love Service, ZIS, Wakaf, e-commerce, and Social Banking. Based on the data from Baznas of Bandung City, zakat potential in Bandung City could reach up to Rp1,6 trillion.
To optimize the zakat collection, Yana added that ZX (Zakat Express) could become one of the solutions with some things worth noting.
“What must be constructed by the application is socialization to the public. It is because we also need to increase their trust to pay zakat on this application,” he said.
So, Yana asked the heads in sub-districts and agencies to pay zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and wakaf (ziswaf) on the ZX (Zakat Express) application.
“We start from civil servants. After that, our colleagues in sub-districts can help socialize ziswaf through the developed application. Hopefully, it can be developed optimally as we expected,” Yana said.
Concerning this, the Head of Baznas of Bandung City, Akhmad Roziqin, said that the ZX application could be a tool to maximize zakat potential in Bandung City.
“As of today, we have just collected Rp22-23 billion of zakat in Bandung City. It has not yet met with the potential that could reach Rp1,6 trillion. The ZX (Zakat Express) application can become an effective tool in collecting zakat in Bandung City,” Akhmad said.
Akhmad hoped that, in addition to acting as an infak medium, ZX (Zakat Express) could also alleviate Bandung City residents in requesting basic health services.
“In the future, hopefully, Bandung City is not only the biggest collector of ZIS funds in West Java, but also the best service provider for muslims,” he said.
In addition to health services and ziswaf, one interesting feature offered by ZX (Zakat Express) is Love Service.
The Head of the Gathering Division I of Baznas of West Java, Rachmat Ari Kusumanto, emphasized that this service was provided after looking at the increasing number of divorces since the pandemic.
“Since the Covid pandemic, divorces skyrocket because of economic decline due to the Covid-19. So, we will provide Love Service, too. It covers consultations and lessons of asatidz (utadz),” Rachmat emphasized.
On this application, Rachmat said, that there were 1.500 ambulances that could be accessed by all Indonesian residents as easily as ordering online ojek.
“Such an application is the first in the world. There are 1.500 ambulances and other health services that easily accessible to the public like ordering online ojek. Electricity bills can also be paid on this application. The administrative fee of Rp2.500 is converted into shadaqah that will be returned to the Bandung City residents,” he said. (din)*
