Alhamdulillah, Bandung City Has Fallen to PPKM Level 2
After being on Level 3 of Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM) for almost two months, finally, as of Monday, 4 April 2022, based on the Instruction of the Ministry of Home Affairs No. 20 of 2022, Bandung City has fallen to level 2.
After being on Level 3 of Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM) for almost two months, finally, as of Monday, 4 April 2022, based on the Instruction of the Ministry of Home Affairs No. 20 of 2022, Bandung City has fallen to level 2.
The level decrease of Bandung City from PPKM level 3 to level 2 is in accordance with the vaccination targets for the second dose that, at least, reach 50%.
Previously, the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, said that the vaccination in Bandung City was kept being accelerated. For the first dose, Bandung City has reached 112% and 106% for the second dose.
“Boosters are also accelerated, currently it is around 24%,” Yana said.
In PPKM level 2, there are several relaxations that can be applied again in Bandung City. One of them is activities in non-essential sectors can be carried out from 50% to, at maximum, 75% for Work From Office (WFO) employees who have been vaccinated and they must be using Peduli Lindungi application.
Next, as to traditional markets, grocery stores, and big stores in Bandung City selling basic needs are limited to operate until 21.00 WIB.
“In Bandung City, during this Ramadan, we impose grocery stores to be open starting from 08.00-21.00 WIB. We also instructed public places to consistently apply Peduli Lindungi checking. So, we can be aware of the visiting residents’ status,” he said.
Moreover, for places of worship, such as mosques, churches, temples, viharas, and klenteng can hold religious activities with 75% capacity at most with disciplinarily complying with health protocols.
Arts, sports, and other entertainment activities in public areas are allowed with 75% capacity. Certainly, with complying with health protocols and using Peduli Lindungi application. Only residents with a green status are allowed to visit.
“Although it has been sloping, please keep complying with health protocols. At least, wear a mask and perform physical distancing. Because any Covid variant transmissions are still the same: through droplets. Don’t forget to wash your hands and stay healthy by consuming healthy food,” Yana said. (din)*
