Hooray! Cooking Oil at Rp15.000 Is Available in Bandung City

In Bazar Minyak Goreng Ramadan event with PW Nahdlatul Ulama of West Java, Filma cooking oil was sold at Rp15.000 for Bandung City residents. This affordable market was a result of a collaboration between Regional Committee of Nahdlatul Ulama (PW NU) of West Java and PT. Sinarmas.

Bandung City residents, again, were able to purchase affordable cooking oil. In Bazar Minyak Goreng Ramadan event with PW Nhdlatul Ulama of West Java, Filma cooking oil was sold at Rp15.000.

 

For your information, this affordable market for cooking oil was a collaboration between PW NU of West Java and PT. Sinarmas.

 

The Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, appreciated this event. Yana said that this event could help people affected socially and economically by the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

“Although it is a subsidized price, this (support) can hopefully lighten Bandung City residents’ burden and help them,” he said, Wednesday, 13 April 2022.

 

Yana was optimistic in welcoming the economic recovery in Bandung City because the Covid-19 pandemic situation became more controllable.

 

Yana showed data highlighting confirmed Covid-19 cases in Bandung City were at 37 cases per day. This number was drastically different compared to that in February which reached 1.700 cases per day.

 

“Hopefully, this is the positive result of our efforts of the vaccination,” he said.

 

Additionally, the Head of PW Nahdlatul Ulama of West Java, KH. Juhaidi Muhammad, hoped this event could be a blessing for everyone.

 

Starting from PW Nahdlatul Ulama of West Java, PT. Sinarmas, the West Java Province Government, the Bandung City Government, and the benefitted public.

 

“The good collaboration between PWNU and Sinarmas had been carried out for a long time. It was just held back due to the pandemic these last two years. Hopefully, the positive trends keep going,” he said.

 

Simlarly the same thing was stated by the Head of Media and External Communcation APP Sinar Mas, Elly Mahesa Jenar. She hoped that the event could increase cooking oil supply in the region.

 

“Hopefully, it can be done in other regions,” she said.

 

The Head of Industry and Trade Agency of West Java Province, Iendra Sofyan, also attended the event. He appreciated the event and ensured that basic needs’ supply in West Java was secured.

 

Therefore, he asked West Java residents, particularly in Bandung City, not to go panic buying. He believed that panic buying could affect the prices.

 

“We (the provincial government) ensured the supply (basic needs) is sufficient. So, people do not have to panic,” he asked. (ray)**
