After having stumbled during the Covid-19 pandemic, the economy in the city of Bandung has now shown a revival. No exception in Cibiru District, Bandung City.

The Head of Cibiru Sub-district, Didin Dikayuana said that one of the emerging sectors was Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

"Many businesses that have collapsed, are now starting to squirm. Campuses have started to reopen, MSMEs and boarding houses have started to stretch again," said Didin when met by Public Relations Bandung.

He revealed that in Cibiru there are 6000 MSMEs ranging from culinary, fashion, services, arts, and crafts.

"Alhamdulillah, now it is level one, in Cibiru there are zero cases, and MSMEs are stretching again," said Didin.

Didin revealed, with the improvement of the current pandemic conditions, his party had reopened the 46 Tourism Market which had been closed.

Pasar Wisata 46 is the only market in the Cibiru area, which is open every Sunday.

"The potential that exists every Sunday is the tourism market. The market potential that we have, when Covid is closed. Now we are reopening, for people to shop, exercise and travel," he said.

In addition, said Didin, Cibiru also has many natural tourist destinations that are still not widely known to the public.

In Cibiru, there are 72 hectares of green open space belonging to the Bandung City Government which has been transformed into a tourist spot as well as a water catchment and conservation area.

"There is a wetland, Kartini forest for biking covering an area of 6 hectares. In addition, there are Stairs 100, Mbah Boar hillside and Mbah Garut hill," he said.

"The public please come, it's free. But remember, you have to maintain cleanliness and don't scribble," he added.

Not only that, the arts and culture sector also experienced a revival. With the return of cultural arts performances.

"The potential for art is extraordinary, every RW has an art studio. There are calung, reak, and benjang too. In the past (during the pandemic) until someone sold their art tools. Now they can perform again," he said.

Now Didin is optimistic that the economy can improve with various potentials such as MSMEs, arts and culture, tourism, and creative industries.

Apart from that, he invites the public, especially local and foreign tourists, to visit various tourist and artistic places in his area.

"Don't look far for a tour, let's enjoy the fresh Cibiru air. We are waiting for the people in Cibiru," he said. (rob)**
