Bobotoh's Death, Umuh: Don't Blame Each Other, Let's Evaluate Ourselves
Manajer Persib Bandung, Umuh Muhtar bertakziah ke rumah duka Ahmad Solihin di Gang Blok TVRI, RT 02/03, Cibaduyut Kota Bandung, Sabtu 18 Juni 2022. Ia menyampaikan belasungkawa atas meninggalnya Ahmad Solihin saat menonton pertandingan Persib vs Persebaya Surabaya yang digelar di Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA), Jumat 17 Juni 2022 lalu.
Persib Bandung manager, Umuh Muhtar pays homage to Ahmad Solihin's funeral home at TVRI Blok Alley, RT 02/03, Cibaduyut, Bandung City, Saturday 18 June 2022.
He expressed his condolences for the death of Ahmad Solihin while watching the Persib vs Persebaya Surabaya match which was held at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GBLA) Stadium, Friday, June 17, 2022.
Apart from Ahmad, another victim who died in the incident was Sopiana Yusup.
"This is what we did not predict. And it seems impossible, because our tickets only make 15,000 (tickets). We have also prepared a big screen, there are 4 outside," said Umuh.
Umuh also confirmed that Ahmad came with a ticket. He called this man a true Bobotoh.
“This is what is called a true Bobotoh. Loyal. But, because it was full, he forced his way inside. According to information from his family, Ahmad came in an unwell condition," he explained.
Umuh advised that the incident that happened to Ahmad Solihin and Sopiana Yusup should be a record for all parts of Persib Bandung.
This time, excessive enthusiasm for being able to watch Persib compete again in the city of Bandung, became a strong factor in the occurrence of this event.
"We are taking steps and I thank the West Java Police and Bandung Police because the security has been extraordinary," said Umuh.
Umuh asked Bobotoh who do not have tickets not to come to the stadium and watch it on television. This is an effort to prevent the recurrence of similar events.
He hopes that in the future all parties will not blame each other for this incident. On the contrary, this event can be a joint self-evaluation.
“There is no Bobotoh because all the Bobotohs are true by all means. What I pity are those who don't have tickets, but force their way in," he lamented.
"I advise you, if you don't have a ticket, just watch on television. Maybe it's more flexible and more relaxed on TV. Instead of crowding, there will be more victims," he hoped. (ray)**
