Alhamdulillah! City of Bandung Won Provincial MTQ 9 Times in a row

The city of Bandung again won the overall champion at the 37th West Java MTQ in 2022. This title is the ninth time in a row.

After the closing ceremony of the 37th MTQ, the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, expressed his gratitude and gratitude to all elements involved in the process of the City of Bandung becoming the overall champion.

He hopes that this ninth consecutive overall title can be a momentum for the implementation of one of the visions of the city of Bandung, namely religion.

"This is the 9th overall champion in a row. Thank you to all supervisors, participants, and all the people of Bandung City for their prayers so that we are able to defend this overall champion, "
he said in Sumedang Regency, Saturday, June 25, 2022.

To note, the City of Bandung won 65 points in this event, relatively far ahead of those ranked below: Bandung Regency in second place with 59 points, Tasikmalaya Regency with 36 points.

To note, Sumedang Regency as the host of the 37th West Java MTQ was ranked 6th with a score of 31 points.

Yana also hopes that the overall title for the MTQ at the Provincial level won by the City of Bandung is a momentum for practicing the Koran in everyday life in the people of Bandung City.

"God willing (the overall title) can continue to be maintained," he said.

The 37th West Java MTQ in 2022 was closed by the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil. In his remarks, Emil said that MTQ at the West Java Province level was one of the implementations of the West Java slogan, the Champion Born Inner.

"We're not just building roads. But we also build maghrib Koran, digital da'wah, and MTQ," he said.

He also called this momentum a pride for the people of West Java as the region with the largest Muslim population in Indonesia.

"Congratulations to the participants who have shown their best skills at the 37th West Java Province MTQ event. Let's fill our days with worship. And we are grateful for the blessings that God has given us," Emil ordered.

For information, the 37th West Java MTQ carries the theme 'MTQ Makes West Java a Leading Province in Innovation and Collaboration'.

This event was attended by 1,123 participants consisting of 570 men and 549 women from 27 districts/cities in West Java. Meanwhile, the Bandung City MTQ caravan consisted of 54 participants, 33 coaches, and 6 assistants.

There were several branches that were contested, including: the branch of Recitation of the Koran, Hifzh Koran, Tafsir of the Koran, Khath Koran and Scientific Writing of the Koran. This event will be held in Sumedang Regency, 18 to 25 June 2022.
