Ready for 98 Persn, Fly Over Kopo will be officially used next August

The flyover or Kopo flyover is planned to be inaugurated in August. Currently, the construction stage has reached 98 percent.

Public Relations of PT. PP, Ulil Albab said, one of the obstacles to the construction of the Kopo fly over is the traffic density. Traffic on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta is very congested so that the construction is a bit technically constrained.

Not only that, Ulil said, the high rainfall was also one of the obstacles.

"It's raining, if natural conditions don't support it. Then we will stop the project first. If it continues, it will endanger the employees," he told Public Relations of Bandung City.

Nevertheless, Ulil ensured that the power lines at the Kopo flyover were neatly arranged and were expected to be completed by the end of June.

“For lighting, all of them have not been installed because the process takes a lot of time. Moreover, the power lines must be conditioned safely. However, the wired network is ready. It is expected to be completed by the end of this month," he said.

Apart from that, Ulil said, the construction of the Kopo fly over was fairly fast.

“In fact, the construction of this fly over is faster than I expected. Starting from 2 months ago, it has been able to operate even though it has not been optimally. For a length of 1.4 km, it is very 'worth it' for the work in approximately 2 years,” he said.

Previously, the Kopo fly over was tested last May. A few days ago it was also opened for testing.

One of the road users, Nia hopes that the Kopo flyover can be used soon. So that there will be no more traffic jams at the Kopo to Leuwipangang intersection.

"Now it looks like it hasn't been completed 100 percent, so traffic jams in the Kopo area on the main market route are still heavy. However, if the traffic jam is finished, it may be resolved to the maximum. Moreover, if the area of ​​the Kopo toll road is expanded, the congestion in Kopo may disappear.
