To strengthen the products of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) together with the Bandung City Dekranasda provide free Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) management facilities for business actors.

"Business actors can get convenience and facilities in carrying out their business. If they pay it can be up to Rp. 1.8 million," said Head of the Bandung City Dekranasda, Yunimar Mulyana, Monday, July 4, 2022.

Yunimar said intellectual property rights (IPR) are very important, because they can increase product competence so that they can compete in the market.

In addition, IPR is also an instrument to protect trademarks from possible infringement or piracy, by irresponsible parties.

"Through this program, Dekranasda together with related agencies encourage business actors to get convenience in doing business," he said.

He hopes that this IPR facilitation program can run in a sustainable manner.

"Hopefully every year, all the actors assisted by the National Development Planning Agency can be facilitated," said Yunimar

Meanwhile, Head of the Creative Economy Division of the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office, Sri Susiagawati, said that this HKI facilitation program targets 100 business actors in 2022.

"We are targeting 17 sub-sectors of the creative economy. We are asking for assistance from the Dekranasda as many as 50 business actors assisted by the Dekranasda in the culinary, Kraft and fashion fields. The rest are general registrants," said Sri.

He said that the facilitated business operators are business actors who have ID cards and do business in the city of Bandung.

"Other requirements have NPWP, NIB, domicile and others," he said.

This facilitation program, continued Sri, will take place in three stages. First, the general socialization stage. Next, check the completeness of the requirements by the consultant. Finally, the finalization process.

For business actors who want to register for free IPR facilitation from the Bandung City Department of Culture and Tourism, they can access the patrakomala.disbudpar.bandung.go.id page.

"Business actors immediately become members of Patrakomala and there is a checking of the requirements. Who can get it first," he said.

One of the business actors assisted by Dekranasda, Dewi Ratna Purwanti, enthusiastically welcomed the program.

Ratna, who is a fashion business actor in Binong Jati, hopes that this program can improve the quality of her products.

"Hopefully with this IPR facility, the quality of the products will increase, increase turnover and have a registered and legitimate brand," he said. (rob)*
