The cooperation in the use of electronic certificates between the Bandung City Government and BSSN was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement for the use of Electronic Certificates at the BSSN Hall, Depok, Wednesday, July 21, 2022.

This is an extension of the Cooperation Agreement between the Bandung City Government and BSSN after the previous cooperation agreement started in 2018 and has a validity period of 4 years.

Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana said, electronic signatures on the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 95 of 2018 concerning Electronic-Based Government Systems

With the application of electronic certification, it can be more effective and efficient in the performance of the government bureaucracy.

In addition, electronically signed documents are guaranteed to be intact.

"The principle is not only to ensure the security and confidentiality of government information, but also the data must be intact, available when taken, and original," he said.

Several applications that already use electronic signatures, continued Yayan, include the Online Mail application, Hayu Gampil, SIAK, Tower Management, and the SIMPEG application.

There are many benefits to validating electronic signatures. First, ensure that the signatures sent and received by the parties are correct.

Second, the document is intact, not modified because it will later be seen in the system. Third, ensure that the owner of the information does not deny that it belongs to him and has been authorized by him.

"The process of signing and accessing documents can be done anywhere and anytime, either by using a computer or mobile phone with an internet connection. This is also more efficient because it is paperless," he said.

"In addition, it can also sign documents in large quantities, such as Family Cards, Permits, SK (Decision Letters) and others," he added.

Yayan said that all regional apparatus within the Bandung City Government had used electronic signatures.

"This is an effort to strengthen the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in Bandung City in realizing clean, effective, transparent, and accountable governance as well as quality and trusted public services," Yayan said.

He hopes that this collaboration can improve the quality of public services and government administration by optimizing the use of electronic signatures.

"So the service is more effective and efficient," he said.

Meanwhile, Plt. Main Secretary of BSSN, Y.B. Susilo Wibowo said that the BSSN Electronic Certification Center (BSrE) certification service has succeeded in contributing to state financial savings of approximately IDR 1.5 trillion per year.

"This figure will continue to grow along with the expansion of the utilization of the BSrE BSSN Electronic Certification Service, both from the user aspect and from the utilization aspect of the Electronic Certificate function," he said. (rob)**
