Advanced! Bandung City Population Administration Services Ready to Go Digital

The Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of Bandung City will gradually implement Digital Population Identity within the Bandung City Government.

Hari ini, Senin 25 Juli 2022, Wali Kota Bandung, Yana Mulyana mengujicoba identitas kependudukan digital atau dikenal sebagai KTP digital.

After trying out and registering a digital population identity, Yana said this innovation answers the main needs of the community in the digital era.

“One thing is extraordinary. We can answer that in this digital era, we can use technology. The advancement of information technology is solely to make it easier for the public to access population data,” said Yana at the Disdukcapil Office in Bandung, Jalan Ambon.

He hopes that population administration services will be closer and can be directly enjoyed by the community.

“Hopefully adminduk services will be more effective, efficient and fair. So that all parties can access it," he said.

To note, this Digital Population Identity aims to follow the application of information and communication technology regarding population digitization, increase the use of population digitization for the population, simplify and accelerate public or private service transactions in digital form.

Including securing ownership of Digital Resident Identity through an authentication system to prevent forgery and data leakage.

The trial of this digital population identity will begin in stages, starting with the ASN Ditjendukcapil, ASN Dukcapil Regency/City, all ASN in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, the campus environment and then the community as a whole.

To date, as many as 467 regencies and cities out of 514 regencies and cities have tested the application of digital population identity, including the city of Bandung.

Tatang Muhtar as Head of Disdukcapil City of Bandung said that his party is ready to facilitate and provide assistance in the application of Digital Population Identity for all employees in the Bandung City Government Environment to the campus environment and the community.

“Overall, the people of Bandung City have to have a digital ID. And we will facilitate everything,” said Tatang.

The application of this Digital Population Identity will be carried out in stages with a certain schedule which will be coordinated later with the relevant regional apparatus organizations. (ray)**
